Cameron's coalition government sets to work

VAT increase will raise £1bn from hospitality industry

Following George Obsborne's revised budget on Tuesday, 22 June 2010 the British Hospitality Association has said that the increase in VAT would raise £1bn from the industry in increased taxes.
BHA members invited to consult on Non-EU economic migration limits

The UK Border Agency and the independent Migration Advisory Committee (MAC) are keen to hear from businesses in the hospitality industry and other interested parties about how an annual limit for non-EU economic migrants should work.
Refunds from Phonographic Performance Ltd (PPL)

Following the successful Copyright Tribunal case against Phonographic Performance Ltd’s tariff for recorded music played in public areas (on radios, TVs, tapes, CD players, etc), PPL is to issue letters and claim forms, probably on Friday 4th June, to all its licensees in hotels and restaurants and pubs.
