BHA Biography: Mr Christopher Davy

Chris Davy has owned The Rose and Crown Hotel, Romaldkirk, in County Durham, for the past 22 years. He trained at Westminster Hotel School and Hollings College  Manchester. He joined TrustHouseForte as a post graduate trainee working in Full Service and Post House Division. He then joined The Selsdon Park Hotel as Conference and Banqueting Manager before moving to The Chester Grosvenor as Deputy General Manager and then Manager.

In addition to his own business interests he led the team that set up the Area Tourism Partnership for Co Durham and was the first Chair of the private/public sector Board. He also was Vice Chair of the Co Durham Economic Partnership.

He is a Council member of the North East Chamber of Commerce. Chris also was chosen to feature in the highly acclaimed Passionate People, Passionate Places campaign which highlighted the North East as a great place to visit, work and live.

He has been a member of the BHA for a number of years and was Chairman of the Northern Region. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Hospitality and a Master Innholder.
