Restaurant & Bar Design Awards support Hospitality Action

May 03, 2011

With less than two months to go until this year’s Restaurant & Bar Design Awards plans are taking shape for this exciting event.  In addition to the award ceremony a newly formed `Culinary Design Project` has been created within the awards in support of Hospitality Action.

Five of this year’s Awards’ shortlisted restaurants were asked to produce a canapé style catering solution inspired from their own menu specifically for the Awards ceremony. The restaurants’ respective designers were then asked to each create a service tray made of Foamalux to match both the design of their restaurant and the said canape solution.

The restaurants involved (and their designers) are: Busaba Eathai (designed by Andrew Archer Architects), Rocket (Fusion DNA), Barbican Lounge (SHH), ASK (Greig & Stephenson) and Peggy Porschen Cakes (Lifeforms) and Pizza Express (Ab Rogers).

These canapés will be served on the service trays at the Restaurant & Bar Design Awards ceremony on the 7th July at the East Wintergarden Canary Wharf in London.

The revenue generated from the auction of 15 tickets will go to Hospitality Action.

Bringing together some of the world’s top creative and experiential talent and attended by 500 of the UK and world’s top designers, architects, hospitality operators, media and personalities the Awards ceremony and party will be like no other.

Tickets for this prestigious event are available through the website at:  www.restaurantandbardesignawards.com
