Announcements

BHA regional committees play a major role in the work of the association. Their members retire by rotation after every three years’ service* and are eligible for re-election. If you would like to join one of the committees and play an active part in your region, please apply to Anju Karir anju.karir@bha.org.uk by the dates stated:

The South Western Committee (apply by 5 September) has 23 vacancies, including 13 retirements by rotation in: Avon/Bristol 5 (Andrew Cole; Andrew Horler; and Sue Williams retire by rotation); Cornwall 4 (Veryan Armstrong; Howard Young); Devon 5 (Graham Grose; Ian Davies; Julie Baugh; Deborah Heather); Dorset 2 (Mark Godfrey); Gloucestershire 2 (Paul Sadler); Somerset 2; Wiltshire 3 (Ben Danielsen; Harry Murray).

The London Committee (7 September) has 16 vacancies including these 12 retirements by rotation: Wendy Bartlett; Gioele Camarlinghi; Tim Cordon; Anna Dowling; Jeffrey Epstein; Douglas Glen; Steve Goddard; Serena von der Heyde; Derek Picot; Arnaud de Saint-Exupery; Anup Sarin; Michael Shepherd.

The South Eastern Committee (19 September) has 25 vacancies, including 9 retirements by rotation in: Berkshire 4 (Maurice Monk); Buckinghamshire 3 (Jonathan Thompson); Hampshire 2; Kent 4 (Patrick Wall); Oxfordshire 4 (Jeremy Wall); Surrey 1 (Samantha Trinder); East Sussex 5 (Graham Bateman; James Dopson; Neil Kirby; Jonathan Webley); West Sussex 2.

The Northern Committee (23 September) has 25 vacancies, including 12 retirements by rotation in: Cheshire 2 (Faye Kelly); Cleveland 2; County Durham 2 (Thomas Robinson); Cumbria 5 (Chris Carss; Jonathan Denby; Andrew McPherson; Andrew Nicholson); Lancashire 5 (Craig Bancroft; William McClelland; Janet Simpson); Northumberland 3 (David Harding; Nazim Khan);  Merseyside 2; Tyne and Wear 2; Yorkshire 3 (Simon Kershaw).

The BHA Scotland Committee (10 October) has 20 vacancies, including 9 retirements by rotation in: AB Aberdeen and IV Inverness postcodes: 4 (Gavin Ellis; Stephen Gow); DD Dundee and PH Perth 2 (Stephen Leckie); DG Dumfries, KA Kilmarnock and ML Motherwell 2; EH Edinburgh and TD Galashiels 5 (Audrey Gillespie; Russell Imrie; Norman Springford); FK Falkirk and KY Kirkcaldy 2 (Daniel Pereira); G Glasgow and PA Paisley 4 (Jacqueline Mathie; Eamonn Thompson); HS Hebrides, KW Kirkwall and ZE Lerwick 1.
