Support your regional committee

BHA regional committees play a major role in the work of the association. Their members retire by rotation after every three years’ service* and are eligible for re-election. If you would like to join one of the committees and play an active part in your region, please apply to Anju Karir anju.karir@bha.org.uk by the dates stated:

The Heart of England Committee (12 October) has 29 vacancies, including 8 retirements by rotation, in: Derbyshire 4 (Philip Joseph, John Millican and Patrick Wisker retire); Hereford and Worcester 3 (John Pattin); Leicestershire 2 (James Bowie); Lincs. 2; Northants. 2; Notts. 3; Rutland 1; Shropshire 2; Staffordshire 2 (Angela Burns); Warwickshire 3; West Midlands 5 (Mark Blake; John Pette).

The BHA Wales Committee (14 October) has 26 vacancies, including 9 retirements: Magalie Gratien, Derek Harvey (Cardiff); Peter Lavin (Conwy); Geoffrey Lofthouse, Len Maddocks, David Williams, Nigel Williams (Llandudno); Anthony Rosser (Lake Vyrnwy); and Neil Rowlands (Anglesey).

The Eastern Committee (18 October) has 25 vacancies, including 11  retirements, in: Bedfordshire 2; Cambridgeshire 4 (John Hoskins; Shara Ross); Essex 5 (Stas Anastasides; Jason Bartella; Ian Pask); Hertfordshire 3; Norfolk 5 (Jason Borthwick; Howard Darking; Jean Whittome); and Suffolk 6 (Robert Gough; Robert Guildea; Garth Wray).

* In addition, those members joining a Committee by co-option are required to retire at the next annual election, but are eligible for re-election
