Here are the new rates for the NMW with effect from the first pay period starting on or after 1 October: the main adult rate (age 21+) will rise by 2.5 per cent to £6.08 an hour (from £5.93); the rate for 18, 19 and 20 year olds by 1.2 per cent to £4.98 (from £4.92); the rate for 16 and 17 year olds by 1.1 per cent to £3.68 (from £3.64); …
