March 13, 2012

Will I be affected?

Transport for London have collated information showing predicted transport impacts of the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games in the Capital next summer. This has been provided to give businesses the level of detail they need to make plans now.

The 2012 transport story

Peter Hendy, Commissioner of Transport for London, has outlined the latest projected travel information and hotspot data to help businesses plan for the Games.

Not all of London will be affected – 65 per cent of stations will see no additional waiting times, although the stations that are affected will be the busiest ones.

Around 70 per cent of the road network in Greater London will be unaffected. However, some locations will be severely affected at some times. The location and time of severely affected areas will change throughout the Games.

This information is being used by TfL and London 2012 for their own planning and it is being shared as part of an ongoing engagement with the business community.

This information includes all the data that is currently validated. When more information is available, the data will be updated.

Data for travel impacts at the weekends during the Olympic Games and throughout the Paralympic Games will be added to this website in early 2012.
