A valuable local sourcing tool has been launched by SALSA, the new directory allows buyers to source from approved SALSA suppliers quickly and easily.

Search facilities in the revised directory enables buyers to search for approved suppliers by region or product and all queries are available in a downloadable format allowing results to be easily interpreted.

Waitrose is an active supporter of the scheme, Jane Duddle said: “The new SALSA directory provides buyers and suppliers with a clear and structured access to information.  The layout is much improved with the new directory being much more user friendly with advanced search facilities”.

Sourcing from approved companies allows buyers to be confident that they are purchasing from suppliers that have practically demonstrated their capability to meet the food standard retail outlets require.  Certificates of approved suppliers are available to download directly from the site for registered buyers.
