“One of our major food and service management members, ARAMARK, is assembling its chef brigades for its Olympics contracts and wants to offer secondment opportunities to teams from hotel and restaurant members who may be expecting that business may be quiet during the Olympic period. ARAMARK have said:
‘We would like to make available to our industry colleagues, the opportunity for some of their culinary teams to take part in Olympic activity.
We have vacancies available for Chef De Partie / Sous Chef level and would welcome the chance to discuss with interested organisations how their teams could get involved.
The employment times are from mid July to mid September, but we could potentially offer shorter secondments if appropriate.
At our peak time, we will be serving 65,000 meals per day, so this is a great opportunity for people to develop their skills and be part of the 2012 experience.
Time lines are tight, and we need to have interested people accredited before the 21st April, so its important we hear from organisations before Easter.
