During the last quarter of 2014 and the first quarter of 2015, the BHA has been busy. The BHA has had a focus on three particular areas: Digital and Operational, Tax, Employment and Economics, and Focus on People. Within in these areas, the BHA has made many accomplishments and reached numerous goals. For example, the BHA succeeded in having Booking.com take responsibility for a data privacy leak leading to customers receiving fraudulent pre-payment requests from hotels. In addition, the BHA got over 100 Members of Parliament from all parties to support a reduction in tourism VAT. And lastly, the BHA reached a new milestone and created 40,000 new hospitality job opportunities for young people.
