Who knows, you could find yourself walking in the footsteps of Pooh and Christopher Robin. One thing for sure though is that you’re sure to stumble across our herds of wild deer that are free to roam wherever they choose across the estate and grounds.

Wining & Dining
The Anderida Restaurant is well recognised throughout the county and beyond as being an award-winning Sussex restaurant, that simply must be sampled.
While The Fairways Lounge serves a more Bistro style menu, and snacks throughout the day, in a light and airy atmosphere overlooking the golf course.
The architectural splendour of the main house, and the beautiful period drawing rooms and lounges, also tempt many of our guests to sample afternoon tea overlooking the grounds and lake. Lounge menus are also available throughout the day, and we are very happy to prepare special menus for children.
No visit to Ashdown Park would be complete without us allowing to put together a delicious picnic hamper for you to enjoy out and about exploring the gardens and grounds.
Golf courses in East Sussex can be challenging, but few are as beautiful to play as the stunning 18 hole par 3 course at Ashdown Park. The last 9 holes in particular meander and wind their way through undulate woodland, which also make it a very enjoyable Sussex golf course to play. On some holes the fairways rub up right next to the woodlands, so you may have to be prepared to lose a few more golf balls than you’re used to, but don’t worry, you can always replenish your supply at our pro shop. And if you need to warm up and get your eye in first, why not loosen up at our driving range, putting green and indoor nets. We can also help you sharpen your game by arranging a lesson or two for you with a golf coach.

The Richard Towneley Suite is a converted chapel with vaulted hammer beam roof and is lit beautifully by stained glass windows. Designed by Harry Clarke, he reputedly used over 30 shades of blue in the windows, bathing the interior in rainbow shades of coloured light, which creates a magical setting that the bride and groom will remember forever.
While the Summer House, which stands in a quiet part of the lawn overlooking the lake, offers an all together different kind of experience which is more informal and relaxed but no less romantic. It’s licensed for civil ceremonies and also makes a charming setting for an alfresco wedding breakfast.
