The St. James’s Club is a private members club in Manchester city centre at the head of King Street that was established in 1825. Its purpose is to provide a private environment in the city where professionals and business people can socialise and enjoy the company of other members.
Members of the Club span across industries and the professions as well as age groups. On a social event you would be very likely to find accountants, lawyers, entrepreneurs, surveyors, bankers and others enjoying the Club’s facilities.
Members enjoy a range of benefits. These include but are not limited to private dining in the A la carte restaurant & bar, personal invitations to the Club’s renowned social events, reciprocal club access across the world, use of the Club business suite and city centre car parking.
The Club accepts new membership applications from business people and professionals of good standing. Candidates must be proposed and seconded by existing members before their application can be voted on at a monthly General Committee meeting. If you know a member personally or professionally you may ask them to visit the Club or attend one of the functions as their guest. If you do not know any existing members you may telephone the Club (0161 829 3000) to enquire if there are any places at a forthcoming drinks reception or professionals event.
