Arena, the foodservice and hospitality industry networking association, has expanded its portfolio of events for 2016 with a new, exciting event at one of the most modern and breath-taking arenas in the world – Wembley Stadium connected by EE.

On Friday 6 May 2016, ‘Behind the Scenes’ with Doug Tetley, Managing Director, Delaware North UK will give foodservice and hospitality industry professionals a valuable insight into the challenges facing catering at stadia, airports, parks and resorts, and visitor attractions.

As well as an enlightening address by keynote speaker Doug Tetley, attendees will also be taken on a ‘behind the scenes’ guided tour of the stadium, allowing them to relive sport’s greatest moments and create new ones of their own.

Doug Tetley joined Delaware North, a global leader in hospitality and foodservice, as UK managing director in 2014, having sold Searcys to Westbury Street Holdings in the same year.  He heads up the executive team in rolling out UK business strategy and managing current operations, including a select portfolio of airports, stadia and visitor attractions, including Wembley Stadium.

This unique event gives attendees the opportunity to:

  • Learn more about the challenges facing catering at stadia, airports, park and resorts, and visitor attractions today. What does it takes to serve 10,000 seated meals at any one time or 40,000 pints of beer during half time at a football match at Wembley?
  • Experience the tension of the Players’ tunnel, sense the history in the England changing rooms, and climb the 107 sacred trophy winners’ steps during the guided tour of the stadium
  • Enjoy Delaware North’s hospitality during a drinks reception and three-course seated lunch with a magnificent view of the pitch
  • Interact with fellow foodservice and hospitality industry professionals throughout the event.

Kicking off at 10.00am, the one-day event includes a guided tour of Wembley Stadium, a drinks reception, a three-course seated lunch with wine and Doug Tetley’s post-lunch address.

Tickets cost £145+VAT for Arena members and £195+Vat for non-members. Tables of ten cost £1305+VAT for Arena members and £1755+Vat for non-members.
