A specialist energy procurement and management organisation is celebrating an awards double, further cementing its expert consultancy service.
BHA Partner, Businesswise Solutions, beat off stiff competition to receive a prestigious regional award in front of over 1,000 leading business figures from across the North West, before learning it had been shortlisted for four national industry awards.
Businesswise Solutions, which has offices in Lancashire, Manchester and London, collected the Professional Services Award at the North West Business Insider Property Awards.
Days later, the company learned it had been shortlisted for Consultancy of the Year, Best Customer Service, The Consultant of Tomorrow and Energy Management Champion in the TELCAs; prestigious awards honouring the best consultants and brokers in the UK.
The award judges were impressed that in a difficult year in the property industry, Businesswise celebrated their fifth year of year on year growth, took on a range of new clients and had a 100% retention rate amongst existing fully managed clients.
In 2016, Businesswise added a host of new services to its portfolio enabling them to help clients drive down costs and manage spend. They launched UTILITYi, a bespoke online portal instrumental in driving down costs and created new energy audit and water procurement divisions.
Hospitality is a key sector which the business chose to focus on, recognising the increasing pressure businesses operating in this market are under to control their costs and deliver a value for money service, while at the same time remaining competitive and sustainable.
Significant client wins in this arena included The Lowry, and Hotel Football in Manchester, Holiday Inns and The Goring, London.
“It’s a huge achievement to receive this award and be shortlisted in four national award categories which encompass everything we do,” said Businesswise Solutions managing director, Frazer Durris.
“We are innovators within our industry, and these awards are testament to the skills and commitment of the strong team we have put together.
“2016 was a big year for us with the opening of our Manchester office, significant strengthening of our team and making big savings for clients through a range of innovative initiatives including £3.3m of savings in the client gas buying group, £1m rebates for high energy manufacturers through the Energy Intensive Industries scheme and energy savings of £1m through our handling of a £15 million Chamber portfolio.
“2017 has continued in the same vein and we have a number of exciting projects that we will announce over the coming months.
“We are a forward-thinking organisation which recognises the importance of working with strategic partners, such as the British Hospitality Association, to grow our client base and market share and maintain our position as a market leader in utility management and these awards are a fantastic recognition of that.”
