Costa success at Perth Racecourse

New coffee shop Perth RacecourseThe first café to serve Costa Coffee at a Scottish Racecourse is being hailed a success following almost a year of trading at Perth Racecourse.

The Bindaree Cafe, provided by the Racecourse’s catering and hospitality partner Sodexo Prestige Venues & Events, opened in June 2015 following an extensive renovation which transformed its former facility into a modern and welcoming café, serving the freshest coffee from Costa.

The café offers a wide selection of hot drinks, sandwiches, soups, cakes, homemade tray-bakes plus a variety of iced drinks. The addition of Costa Coffee provided Perth Racecourse with a unique selling point.

Tim Du Pon, Regional General Manager at Sodexo Prestige Venues & Events, Perth Racecourse, said: “Costa Coffee has been a fantastic success and we have had very positive feedback from customers. We completely transformed the space to create a bright, airy and functional place for visitors to either grab a coffee and go, or sit in and enjoy a snack in a relaxed and comfortable environment.

“This significant investment signals our dedication to the venue and its customers, whether they are coming to enjoy a day at the races or using our fantastic conferencing facilities.

“Costa’s values provide a strong fit with our business, ensuring we provide a first-class offering and complete the café experience at Perth Racecourse.”

The refurbishment saw the site’s interior refreshed, with a new food counter and display shelves installed, as well as a granite front counter, modern tiling and stylish lighting.

Perth Racecourse is Scotland’s most northerly course welcoming more than 70,000 visitors every year. Open 365 days a year, out-with racing, it plays host to over 120 events and is home to one of the best conferencing facilities in Perthshire.
