Dyson Technology for Hotels

Technology company Dyson gives advice on how to enhance guest experience and Rosewood London share first-hand how Dyson technology has benefitted them.

“We offer our guests a journey of experiences. With Dyson it’s perfect, because they are experiencing amazing British innovation.” Michael Bonsor, Managing Director, Rosewood London.

Dyson engineers work tirelessly to invent new and better technology and solve the problems that other people ignore. They transform every category they enter with radical and iconic reinventions that work, perform and look very different. This includes technology for businesses. Dyson has developed a range of technology for public, leisure and work spaces. Each machine is designed with productivity and wellbeing in mind – helping to improve the experiences of employees, customers and guests.

In hotels across the globe, guest experience and comfort is a top priority. Whether its business or leisure, guests should feel relaxed and comfortable within a hotel environment. Guest experiences are recorded in 165,000 Trip Advisor reviews everyday1. Creating a sense of ‘home from home’ within a guest room has never been more important, and from light levels, to air quality, to washroom hygiene, every detail affects the guest experience. That’s why Dyson technology for hotels is designed to enhance guest comfort and overall wellbeing throughout their stay.

Rosewood London is a multi-award winning 5-star hotel in the heart of Holborn. Following the global company’s ‘sense of place’ philosophy, it celebrates the historic character of its grand location and landmark Edwardian building. Rosewood London has invested in Dyson technology across their hotel as a way of enhancing the experience of their guests. “The most important thing for us is to exceed guest expectations. This is why we chose to install the Dyson products at our hotel.” Warren Lavender, Director of Engineering.

A 5 Star Hair Care Experience

Hotel visitors rate their room’s hair dryer as the worst appliance during their stay2. In the past 50 years, hair dryers have changed in appearance but not performance. Real change isn’t about appearance – it’s about engineering from the inside out. Dyson created an entire suite of in-house laboratories to study the science of hair. Over 4 years, 103 Dyson engineers, Trichologists and stylists looked at everything from airflow dynamics to hair’s cellular structure.

The Dyson Supersonic is sleek, balanced and powerful, with intelligent heat control to protect hair's shine. Used by some of the world's top stylists and salons, it enables hotels guests to enjoy a premium hair care experience.

Personalised Light and Air Control

The Dyson CSYS task light has precise positioning control, designed to create optimal lighting conditions whether guests are reading, working on laptops or simply to create the perfect ambience. 3 Axis Glide™ motion positions light precisely where you need it, while touch-sensitive, continuous dimming means that guests can adjust their light to suit their needs and mood.

Dyson Pure Cool Link™ purifiers automatically monitor and purify, removing 99.95% of allergens and pollutants as small as 0.1 microns. Available on request, they help create a comfortable environment for guests, enhancing their comfort and personalising their surroundings – day and night. “We had so many requests, we’re now looking at the hot and cool version so guests can benefit in both winter and summer,” says Michael Bonsor, Managing Director.

Hygiene Washrooms

Dyson Airblade hand dryers use advanced HEPA filtration which captures 99.95% of particles the size of bacteria – so hands are dried with cleaner air, not dirty air. Using the Dyson digital motor, they dry hands in just 10 seconds. “Good hygiene and a cleaner washroom experience set the tone for our guests’ wellbeing,” explains Warren Lavender, Director of Engineering.
