Give Us Time Announces Influx of Donors from Home and Away

giveustime_logoGive Us Time, a charity for the Armed Forces, is pleased to announce an incredible 10 new donors, who have all come forward to offer holiday accommodation to British military personnel and their families.

The accommodation offered by hoteliers and hotel owners from the UK and across the world ranges from 5-star luxury sun-drenched spa resorts, to seafront apartments in British seaside locations.

Two overseas resorts offering up accommodation include the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Doha, Qatar, which offers unparalleled luxury for its guests, and the Azure Radisson Blu Resort and Spa in beautiful Golden Sands, Malta.

Meanwhile, generous donors from the UK have offered up holiday park accommodation, as well as holiday flats and cottages to be enjoyed by the British military personnel and their families.

Karen Hay, Chief Executive for Give Us Time, commented: “We rely solely on the generosity of businesses in the hospitality sector to contribute to our charity’s initiative. Recognising the impact an operational tour can have, Give Us Time takes one-week holidays and short breaks donated by hosts and matches them with British soldiers in need of rest, rehabilitation and reconnection with their families.

“A simple holiday in a neutral environment, away from the responsibilities of day-to-day life, can have a transformative effect. These new hosts will clearly see that they are making a real contribution to the military personnel and their families that take advantage of these much needed holidays.”

Companies and individuals that have donated accommodation include: Daylesford, Wyldecrest Parks, Habitat Escapes, Headland Cottage, BOD Bournemouth, Green View Cottage, Fritton Arms, Spinnaker Cottage in Salcombe, Grand Hyatt Doha and Azure (Radisson Blu), Golden Sands, Malta.

Karen continued: “If any other holiday companies, park owners, and even UK families with holiday homes or caravans that they commercially let, would like to donate one-week holidays to military personnel and their families in 2016 then please do get in touch.”
