Harbour & Jones (H&J) has launched its inaugural H&J Awards (sponsored by Sustain from Bunzl Catering Supplies) to celebrate 10 years since the business was created by Nathan Jones and Patrick Harbour in 2004.
Gathering support from some of the industry’s finest, Jeff Galvin, of Galvin Restaurants, and Janie Manzoori-Stamford, Foodservice Editor of Caterer and Hotelkeeper, will be the guest judges of the hotly contested ‘Dish of the Year’ category which will see H&J chefs step up to the plate in a head-to-head cook off.
H&J colleagues will nominate each other to win one of 10 categories, including Unsung Hero, Chef of the Year, Young Chef of the Year, Customer Service, Leadership, Site Team of the Year, Sales Person of the Year and Rising Star, as well as the ultimate Values Award judged by Patrick and Nathan.
“The 10 categories are symbolic of our 10 years in business and aim to recognise every level of the company from unsung kitchen porters and hard working administrators to our fantastic front of house teams,” said Patrick Harbour, H&J Co-owner and Director.
“We have a wealth of talent across the business and launching the awards gives us a real opportunity to recognise the hard work and dedication that already happens every day.“
Teaming up with supplier partner Bunzl, the awards are sponsored by the company’s newly launched environmentally responsible brand, Sustain, which provides renewable and compostable foodservice disposables.
Deadline for entry is March 31st and the winners will be announced at a reveal party on May 16th.
