Restaurant & Bar Design Awards Ceremony 2016 – ‘Street’ Set Design & Build

Located in the hub of London’s urban culture, the eighth annual Restaurant & Bar Design Awards ceremony will be held at the Old Truman Brewery on the 29th September 2016.

The theme for this Year’s Awards ceremony is ‘Street’.

STAC Architecture, Simple Simon, Moreno Masey and Conran & Partners will each create one of four bars inspired from street art, music and dance from four different eras (70’s, 80’s, 90’s, 00’s). JMDA will then create a restaurant for Thaikhun depicting a Thai street scene.

Dancers on the night will be the ‘dynamic force’ that reveal each of these amazing spaces at this theatrical and spectacular event, with music collaboration by Island Records.

Build partners are Benchmark Fabrications, Elegant Clutter, Nicholas Alexander, DRC and Harper Signs and restaurant and bar operators include Thaikhun, The Sun & 13 Cantons (Westside Drinks), Iberica, Craft London and No.1 Duke Street (Darwin & Wallace).

The Awards this year include entries from over 70 countries covering every imaginable space, from ships to airports, museums to burger vans, and from revered Michelin-starred establishments to the fleeting dynamism of pop-ups.

The ceremony will be attended by 800 of the UK and world’s best designers, and their clients responsible for the design of the most innovative food and beverage spaces.
