Catering and events specialists, Sodexo at Dundas Castle has become the first company to receive the prestigious VisitScotland award celebrating Scottish food.
Sodexo, who oversee catering at the stunning castle situated on the outskirts of Edinburgh, has been awarded VisitScotland’s esteemed five star ‘Taste Our Best’ award in the Exclusive Venues category, for its strong commitment to sourcing fresh, local Scottish ingredients.
As part of the awards’ scheme, venues are required to keep food miles to a minimum by sourcing at least 40% of food from Scottish producers, highlighting local ingredients on menus and ensuring staff are able to explain the origins of each meal.
The team strive to source the majority of ingredients from local suppliers and is proud of its strong relationships with Scottish suppliers, which include Patisserie Joldo of Edinburgh, Cuddybridge Apple Juice, Campbell Bros and Braehead Foods.

The ‘Taste Our Best’ award will now feature on Dundas Castle’s menus and website with a range of new menus being launched in the coming weeks.
