Dale MacPhee, General Manager of the five-star hotel at Edinburgh’s West End, was delighted to welcome the royal couple. She said: ‘We have partnered the Edinburgh International Fashion Festival for a number of years and always enjoyed welcoming the guests who visit from around the world for the event. The ‘Caley’ is renowned for embodying the very best of Scottish hospitality. To be able to welcome the Duke and Duchess of Rothesay on this occasion was very special.’

‘Both the Waldorf Astoria brands and the Edinburgh International Festival have global awareness. We hope that our role in hosting this royal visit to celebrate this year’s event will play a role in helping to grow the profile of this Edinburgh-born event even further.’

Anna Freemantle, Director of the Edinburgh International Fashion Festival, said: ‘This is the fourth occasion on which we have partnered with Waldorf Astoria Edinburgh – The Caledonian. Over the years our partnership has grown from strength to strength.

‘We enjoy a strong relationship with the hotel. Having Dale MacPhee and her team behind the Fashion Festival has been crucial to delivery. Their attitude and work ethic is tremendously professional and I can't wait to see what happens over the next few years of our partnership.’
