As General Manager of the five-star luxury hotel The Landmark London, Andrew Batchelor has focused on continually enhancing the hotel’s guest experience and establishing it as one of the capital’s finest destinations for the discerning traveller.
During his time at the helm, the hotel has achieved a number of prestigious accolades including the UK’s first Gold Level Investors in People Accreditation, which recognises people outperforming in their field and Considerate Housekeeping Team of the Year as well as the Hospitality Assured Award for the highest scoring newcomer.
Andrew has introduced various strategic team development and empowerment programs for team members to ensure that they are well equipped and able to meet the demands of the hotel guests. In the next phase of his career at the hotel he seeks to establish The Landmark London as a first choice destination for residential conferences and banquets and further enhance the food and beverage offering.
Andrew’s appointment as General Manager of The Landmark London in 2014 followed an esteemed career in the hospitality industry and within the Landmark Lancaster Hotel Group. With degrees in Hotel Catering and Institutional Management from Westminster College London and Oxford Brookes, Andrew joined The Landmark London’s sister hotel The Lancaster London as Food & Beverage manager in 1989, becoming Director of Events just five years later, and Hotel Manager of The Lancaster London in 2003. Andrew has further accreditation from Cornell University in Management and Strategic Marketing.
