Jane Seymour is a media lawyer with 25 years’ experience in intellectual property and contract law. She advises on theatrical, film and television production and distribution, finance and exploitation of ancillary rights. Her clients include theatres, performing rights institutions, film and television producers, distributors and broadcasters as well as literary and artists’ agencies and individual musicians, actors, writers, directors, choreographers and designers.
Also qualified in California as a US attorney Jane has worked on projects with the San Francisco Opera, Chicago Symphony Orchestra, Joffrey Ballet, Dance Theatre of Harlem, Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater and Daniel Ezralow and David Parsons dance companies.
Jane has lectured on broadcasting issues at the European Broadcasting Union seminars in Stockholm, Prague, Krakow and Copenhagen and is widely regarded as a specialist on legal and commercial issues relating to music, dance and the arts.
