As Chief Executive to a new business venture the MRP Group, I am able to utilize my passion and knowledge for hospitality that has accumulated from over 30 years in the industry, by founding a business that is specialist in providing consultants to the hospitality sector. Having launched in October 2015, the MRP Group have already been successful in securing key clients in the industry to assist with an array of different matters. I am looking forward to expanding this further throughout 2016.

In 2012, the private equity firm Oaktree Capital Management approached me to discuss the launch and establishment of a new business to enter the ApartHotel/Serviced Apartment sector, with a target to build a portfolio of assets and create an operating business, within a 5 years. As CEO of Beyonder for 3 years, I was given the remit to acquire multiple properties, across the United Kingdom, deliver a Millennial facing brand, set up a functioning operating company and deliver the portfolio of acquisitions, through planning, development and into operation. Having successfully deployed £200m GDV in the sector, and assisted in the acquisition of SACO by Oaktree, I opted to leave the business, to pursue other aspirations and remain Co-owner of SACO.

I continue in many advisory and board roles across the sector, such as Chairman to the serviced apartment committee for the BHA.

Previously SVP of International Development, I was responsible for international development opportunities, including the expansion of BridgeStreet’s managed property portfolio and franchise program, acquisitions, joint ventures and other growth opportunities. Providing strategic evaluation, financial analysis and modelling, due diligence, transaction strategy, deal negotiation, execution, and closing process.
