Sally Beck is the General Manager of Lancaster London, an iconic mid-century hotel, offering world-class hospitality in an unbeatable Hyde Park location.

At the helm of the hotel since 2012, Sally is responsible for the operation of one of the largest banqueting hotels in Europe, which can cater for up to 3,000 guests. The hotel also has 416 guestrooms with stunning views over Hyde Park, plus two restaurants.

Sally is currently overseeing the hotel’s £75 million pound investment to become a five-star hotel. The renovations will be complete by October 2017, a significant date in this hotel hotel’s history, as it marks its 50th Anniversary.

Upon completion, the hotel will reinstate the ‘Royal’ in its name and will once again be proudly known as the ‘Royal Lancaster London’. This name change echoes the hotel’s vision which is “Creating the future with the treasures of our past”.

Sally believes that a happy team will make happy guests and subsequently happy owners, so team and guest engagement is Sally’s number one priority. The Lancaster London has just come number 72 in the top 100 in The Sunday Times Best Companies To Work For 2016, so this focus is working.

Sally and her team are also passionate about giving back to the community and work tirelessly to ensure that the hotel’s commitment to social responsibility is first rate within the industry. The hotel also works closely with The Clink Charity as well as Springboard.

In conjunction with the HR Team Sally developed 16 of our own apprenticeships and passed on these templates to BHA and The Caterer to share with the industry. She also set up the SME Consortium to support the industry in gaining apprenticeships for smaller companies.

Prior to joining Lancaster London, Sally was Director of Sales & Marketing at Lancaster London’s five-star sister property, The Landmark London for 11 years. Whilst in this role, Sally was also General Manager of Basil Street Apartments in Knightsbridge and a Director of her own business Purple Summit.

Before joining the Lancaster Landmark Hotel Company, Sally’s career encompassed Director of Sales & Marketing at Royal Garden Hotel, and Director of Sales & Marketing at Conrad London.
