Jointly with the British Beer and Pub Association (BBPA), the Bar Entertainment and Dance Association (BEDA, representing night clubs) and the Association of Licensed Multiple Retailers (ALMR), we have responded formally to proposals by PPL (Phonographic Performance Ltd) for massive hikes in the fees for Specially Featured Entertainment- essentially playing recorded music in a dance/disco.
