In recent days, Chief Executive Ufi Ibrahim was quoted in The Times on the opportunities which the Olympics will offer to London tourism, and we have put out a release about a trade press story that the Treasury had vetoed a VAT cut on “hospitality”- in fact, Ministers were saying no to a VAT reduction on alcohol sold in pubs and other establishments.
