Young Chef Young Waiter deadline extended to 11 July

The entry date for this year’s Young Chef Young Waiter competition has been extended to Monday 11 July. “Several potential entrants have asked for more time to complete the entry form, so we’ve decided to extend the submission deadline date,” says Philippa Brady, the competition’s organiser. “But that will have to be the cut-off date, so I’m appealing to everyone to get their entries in quickly,” she says. FSA issues guidance to caterers and restaurateurs following outbreaks of E. coli in France and Germany

Recent reports of E. coli cases in France, which followed on from those reported in Germany, have led the Food Standards Agency (FSA) to revise guidance on the consumption of sprouted seeds such as alfalfa, mung beans (usually known as bean sprouts) and fenugreek.
