P&G partner with BHA to help UK hoteliers drive business

P&G Professional, an industry leader in business-to-business cleaning and laundry solutions, today announced a one year strategic partnership with the British Hospitality Association (BHA) to support hoteliers across the UK.

Running throughout 2010, the new ‘Profiting from Freshness’ campaign will highlight the importance of fresh and clean first impressions in the hospitality sector as we kick off a new season and gear up for accommodating guests ahead of the London 2012 Olympic Games. With first impressions of establishments increasingly determined the minute a guest walks through the door, it’s never been more important to get it right first time. In fact 95% of hospitality customers said they would question the overall cleanliness of an establishment if it had an unpleasant odour.

Adrian Camp, Managing Director, P&G Professional said: “We are delighted to be working in partnership with the British Hospitality Association to help UK hoteliers drive business and revenue at such a critical time in the hospitality calendar. With over 100 years’ service to the sector and almost 50,000 members, the BHA is the ideal partner for this campaign.”

Bob Cotton, Chief Executive, British Hospitality Association commented: "We’re excited to be working with P&G Professional on such an influential campaign. At a time when the hospitality industry is facing increasing pressure to drive business revenue, hoteliers need to attract and retain custom. As the voice of the industry, the BHA is committed to doing all it can to support the needs of its members.”

To kick off the partnership, P&G Professional together with the BHA will be launching an industry report next month which will expose customer sentiment around fresh and clean first impressions in hospitality establishments. Featuring expert commentary from the BHA as well as cleaning best practice hints and tips from P&G Professional, the report will be a must-have guide for hoteliers looking to make a positive difference to their business.

The campaign will be supported by P&G Professional’s Flash and Febreze range, perfect for use in all hospitality businesses where round-the-clock freshness and cleanliness are top priority.
