JUDGES
Young Chef Young Waiter has boasted some of the industry’s best known and respected judges. For YCYW 2010, Bruce Poole at Chez Bruce will continue as Chair of Chef Judges and Stephen Mannock, National Skills Academy for Hospitality, as Chair of Waiter Judges.

Regional Final Prizes
All regional finalists will receive a certificate plus gifts courtesy of our sponsors Champagne Laurent-Perrier, Savoy Educational Trust and Villeroy & Boch.
Prizes courtesy of the Savoy Educational Trust will be awarded at each Regional Final to the four chefs and four waiters selected to go through to the National Final.
National Finalists’ Prize
All 16 national finalists win an exclusive invitation to visit Champagne Laurent-Perrier, 27th – 29th September. To be eligible to take up your place at the National Final on 20th October all competitors must be available to attend the visit as it is an integral part of the competition.
All national finalists will receive a certificate plus a bottle of Champagne Laurent-Perrier, a commemorative plate, courtesy of Villeroy & Boch and a commemorative jacket (chefs) or apron (waiters), courtesy of Denny’s.
First Prize
£1000 for each winner, plus:
A three-day culinary course sponsored by S.Pellegrino at the University of Alma, based in Parma, Italy. The prize includes practical courses on food, wine and water with culinary tutorials by top chefs.
A three-day visit to Luxembourg sponsored by Villeroy & Boch.
Second Prize
£750 for each runner-up plus:
A two-night break at von Essen's Lewtrenchard Manor in Devon including a unique dining experience at 'Purple Carrot', courtesy of von Essen hotels.
A Canteen of Villeroy & Boch Cutlery.
Third Prize
Third place chef and waiter will receive £500 plus:
Courtesy of Sodexo, a day’s experience at one of its most prestigious contracts followed by an exclusive dining experience.
A Canteen of Villeroy & Boch Cutlery.
