Creating the Culture

"Creating the Culture"
14 July 2016
Boyes Turner's Employment Law team is pleased to invite you to join us when we look at the high profile HR issues of culture and values. For many organisations the issues of culture and values are hot on their agenda. Having clearly defined core values supports the vision, structure and culture of an organisation. Strong core values and being able to "talk the talk" set an organisation apart as a "destination employer" and provide a competitive advantage. But how does an organisation define itself and create the right set of values? How can organisations ensure their values resonate with their employees? How does employment law affect culture and values?

Join us where we look at the legal and practical issues surrounding culture and values. We will focus on how employment law issues such as equality, diversity  and working hours can affect an organisation's culture. We will also explore in detail HR's role in setting standards, driving culture and ensuring values are expanded across an organisation.

Our key note speakers, Jacqy Munro and Mandy Geal, Founders and Directors at Learning Partners, will share their experiences of advising businesses on how to develop their own set of values that define or change their culture. They will explain both the neuroscience of values and their original research into the types of values that engage people with different temperaments and personalities. Together, these have enabled organisations to encourage and support employee engagement. Jacqy and Mandy will be running an interactive workshop session looking in more detail at creating the right set of values that is both congruent for your business and is most likely to engage the widest number of people.

The event will be of particular interest to those in HR, recruitment, talent acquisition and compensation and benefits, as well as in-house counsel across all sectors.
