The Rise and Rise of Heritage Tourism – Birmingham

In July 2013 the Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF) produced a report that revealed heritage tourism is now worth £26.4bn to the UK economy - £5.8bn higher than the previous estimate published in 2010. The research emphasises the power of heritage to attract visitors, bolster struggling urban economies, redevelop municipal spaces and create jobs. Join us and our panel of experts, at the main stage, who will discuss the opportunities and challenges that this brings to their businesses.

On the panel:

Chair: Jane Brantom MTS, TEAM Tourism

Tony Berry, Visitor Experience Director, The National Trust

Rachel Hudson, Head of Marketing and Audience Development, Shakespeare Birthplace Trust

Andrew Daines MTS, Director, Tourism Flanders
