BEST WESTERN Cross Lanes Hotel

The Best Western Cross Lanes Country Hotel and Lanes Bar Restaurant is set in six and a half acres of beautiful grounds and gardens close to Wrexham, Chester and Llangollen, and is ideally situated for enjoying the town of Wrexham and unwinding in the beautiful surrounding countryside of North Wales, Cheshire, Merseyside and North Shropshire.

When you visit the Cross Lanes you will be touched by the natural beauty of the surrounding landscape, which provides the ideal backdrop for your holiday break, wedding, business event, celebration party, informal lunch or evening meal.

The Cross Lanes dates back to the late Victorian era when it was built as a private house, its name in Welsh was Maes y Nant, which translated means house by a stream.

The Oak panelling in the front hall is Jacobean, dating back to about 1620. Together with the wooden staircase it was acquired from a grand old house, Emral Hall at Worthenbury, and carefully restored at the Cross Lanes in 1935.

In 1959 Maes y Nant was sold and converted to a hotel. Many of the original features and homely atmosphere are preserved to this day. Our six acres of beautiful gardens and grounds provide a truly wonderful setting for weddings, wedding receptions and other parties and events, whatever time of the year.
