Cuba Libre was one of the original restaurants in Islington, opening in 1990. Since then many restaurants and bars have come and gone but Cuba Libre remains popular for its lively Latin atmosphere, great cocktails and delicious food.

Happy Hour at Cuba Libre is almost an institution in itself with 2 cocktails for £9.00 running from 5pm to 8pm Monday to Friday and from 12 noon to 8pm on Saturdays and Sundays. The happy times never end there, you will still find the extended happy times for jugs of cocktail for £18.50 from 8pm to 10 pm everyday. So get there early as the tables in the bar fill up quickly with people enjoying a few mojitos and tapas with friends.

In the restaurant the more comprehensive a la carte menu is available, where you can sample Cuban cuisine cooked to perfection. Before we forget to remind you that Monday is the paella night, if you order paella for two for £27.95, you get a  bottle of house wine absolutely free. Tapas are also served in the restaurant, where you can choose 6 delicious tapas for £14.95 (excluding Friday and Saturday nights).Or if you fancy to spend a relaxing lunch with us, we have the Special Tapas Lunch deal for you, so you can have 4 tapas for £7.45 as well as Hot Cuban Baguettes for £ 6.95 (also served in the bar at any time excluding Friday& Saturday evenings after 7 pm)

The décor and music really make you feel like you are in a bar in downtown Havana. The painted walls and wrought iron lanterns add to the feel of a summer holiday. Look out for the papier-mâché models of Che Guevara, Kruschev, Kennedy and Castro playing cards!
