Shire Hotels is a trading name used by Daniel Thwaites plc, the family-controlled brewing and pub company based in Blackburn, Lancashire. With 200 years of heritage and history we are proud of our family connections and take pride in approaching all areas of business with honesty and integrity.

In addition, Thwaites Inns of Character was launched in April 2011.  Currently 6 inns, the group has ambitious plans to grow across the UK and is actively targeting areas outside its north west heartland. Inns are typically up to 30 rooms, with a lively bar –serving Thwaites cask ales of course – and a good quality food operation.
