In Abergavenny, The Angel Hotel offers comfortable accommodation and good service. The hotel is a former Georgian coaching-inn now restored with an elegant décor, and a 2011 hotels rating of three AA stars.

The hotel has 34 en-suite rooms plus the lodge at Abergavenny Castle. Our afternoon teas have the highest accolades.

The Restaurant has crisp white cloths and sparkling glass, to set off our fine cuisine. Breakfast (also available for non-residents) is served 7.00 – 10.00am. (8.00 – 10.00am., weekends). There is a morning snack menu. Lunch is Noon – 2.30pm. Choose from the lunch menu, which ranges from interesting sandwiches to full meals.
 
Proper afternoon teas are served in the afternoon. Later we serve our evening dinner menu (similar to lunch, but does not offer sandwiches) from 7.00pm. Last orders are at 10.00pm. There is evening pianist entertainment, Friday and Saturday. And we have a popular traditional Sunday lunch. The menus follow the seasons, and are well-received critically. See our recent reviews. The wine list matches the food, and features many Gold and Silver medal winners from the International WINE Challenge. Plus we have 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011 Awards of Excellence from top US magazine, Wine Spectator; one of just 27 in the UK
