Stephen McCall – Chief Operating Officer UK&I and Head of Europe Operations Performance and Support, InterContinental Hotels Group

Stephen McCall is responsible for Managed Operations across IHG’s mainstream brands. As Head of Europe

Operations Performance & Support, Stephen has responsibility for Hotel Performance Support (HPS), the

Europe Food and Beverage strategy, Europe Standards and acts as Chair of the Global Operations Council.

Stephen joined IHG in April 2000, and was most recently divisional Chief Financial Officer for the Middle

East and Africa based in Dubai, with additional responsibility for managed operations in the Northern Gulf

region. Prior to moving to Dubai, Stephen was Senior Vice President and Head of Global Internal Audit, with

responsibility for providing assurance over the management of business risk across the Group.

Stephen also has experience in fund management, working with Baring Asset Management on the Alchemy

Investment Plan. He started his career in the hotel industry with UK hospitality group Stakis plc (later acquired

by Hilton International).

Stephen graduated from the University of Dundee with honours in accountancy and business finance and is

professionally qualified as a chartered management accountant
