FSA Alert on Salmonella in eggs

Following a major outbreak of salmonella in the UK which is linked to the consumption of eggs with similar strains of the bacteria found in outbreaks across Europe the Food Standards Agency has re-issued its guidance to caterers on the safe handling of eggs.

This advice includes improving hygiene practices when handling eggs and using pasteurised egg when making lightly cooked dishes
