The merger in 2010 of Coleg Llandrillo Cymru and Coleg Meirion-Dwyfor has formed the largest College in North Wales, with over 23,000 students studying across ten main campuses and numerous learning centres in Conwy, Denbighshire and Gwynedd.
Coleg Llandrillo Cymru has its main campus in Rhos-on-Sea, a large site in Rhyl including the Rhyl Sixth and further sites in Abergele, Colwyn Bay, Denbigh, Dolgellau, Glynllifon, Llanrwst and Pwllheli. The College also has a specialist business training centre in St. Asaph.
Coleg Meirion-Dwyfor has three campus in Dolgellau, Glynllifon and Pwllheli.
Over the past few years the College has successfully secured capital funding in excess of £30 million providing state-of-the-art facilities and provision. Projects recently completed include the new Marine & Built Environment and Institute of Health Centres at Rhos-on-Sea; the Rhyl Sixth Centre at Rhyl and a newly refurbished Hostel at the Glynllifon Campus.
The College employs approximately 1,400 staff and offers over 3,000 full and part-time courses. Courses range from A Levels, BTECs, Apprenticeships and NVQs to Higher Nationals, Foundation Degrees, Honours Degrees and Postgraduate Studies validated by the University of Wales, Glyndŵr, Bangor and UWIC Universities.
Following a hugely successful series of Government inspections, is recognised as being one of the very best in the UK.
The College has also developed an extensive international operation and attracts increasing numbers of international students each year.
