d01Domino’s Pizza UK & IRL plc is the leading pizza delivery company in the UK & Ireland. The first store opened in Luton in 1985 and, in 1993, Colin and Gerry Halpern acquired the Master Franchise Agreement for the UK and Ireland. In 1999, the company floated on the Alternative Investment Market, moving to the Official List in May 2008, where it went straight into the FTSE 250.

Today, Domino’s has over 660 stores, all run by franchisees and employing over 20,000 members of staff. The Company’s target is to have at least 1,200 stores by 2021 – rolling out around 55 new stores each year.

The Internet has been a key element of Domino’s business model in recent years. Around 75% of orders are delivered and, of these, around one third are ordered online.

All pizzas are freshly made to order and the company’s best seller is the Pepperoni Passion.
