The Honourable Society of Lincoln’s Inn

The Honourable Society of Lincoln's InnLincoln’s Inn is one of the four Inns of Court.  The Inns of Court have played a fundamental role in preparing students for call to the Bar and their progress to professional competence as barristers for many centuries.  With that role at its heart, it is nonetheless a very multifarious organisation: a collegiate and educational institution, a membership organisation, a professional body, a landlord, a custodian of historic buildings, a banqueting venue and a tourist attraction.

As the Under Treasurer – in effect its Chief Executive – I am in charge of the day to day running of the Inn, and I hope that whether you are a member or not you find these pages useful.  There is a great deal of practical information, which I have highlighted in the guide to the website.  But there is also material of  general interest, particularly on the Inn’s rich history, which I hope you will enjoy reading.
