Grosvenor House “Literati” Presents Jane Thynne

A War of Flowers Sleeve

AUTHOR, JOURNALIST & BROADCASTER, JANE THYNNE is set to host the first Literati Book Club event of 2015 at Grosvenor House, A JW Marriott Hotel.

On Wednesday 25 March, Jane will present her latest novel, ‘A War of Flowers’ at Literati, leading an intimate discussion with guests about the inspiration and ideas behind her latest release, as well as hosting a question and answer session.

Jane Thynne has a passion for historical fiction and the research that it involves.  ‘A War of Flowers’ is set in August 1938 and delivers a thrilling story set in Paris, a city living on its nerves with the threat of war hanging heavily.

The Plot

British actress, Clara Vine, is in Paris to film her latest movie, having left Berlin under a cloud. Joseph Goebbels has become increasingly suspicious that Clara has been mingling in Berlin society and passing snippets of information to her contacts in the British Embassy. It would have been absurd, if it hadn't also been true…

With war becoming increasingly likely, Clara is approached by an undercover British operative, Guy Hamilton, who asks her to perform a task for her country: to befriend Eva Braun, Hitler's girlfriend, and to pass on any information she can gather.

Clara knows that to undertake this task would put herself back in danger. She also knows that soon she may have to do everything in her power to protect herself.
