BHA responds to news of the Mayor’s new London Food Board

BHA Chief Executive Ufi Ibrahim is one of the new members of the London Food Board and will serve a four-year term until 2020. Responding to the announcement of the new London Food Board Ufi Ibrahim, Chief Executive of the British Hospitality Association, said:

“The hospitality industry serves more than 8.3 billion meals each year and is committed to being a responsible partner. The BHA is already engaged in a ten-year campaign aimed at reducing waste from ‘farm to fork’. We are running a number of initiatives for our members such as ‘Your Business is Food’ and ‘Waste Not Want Not’ which provides businesses with regular guidance to help them to find ways to further reduce their waste. The BHA looks forward to working with the Mayor and other experts to reduce food waste across London.”
