One of the UK’s foremost resort specialists, Nick started his career at Gleneagles in the 80s before opening Cameron House in 1989. He went on to become involved with the development of a number of golf and leisure projects throughout the UK. In 2008, he returned to luxury hotels, opening the award winning Rockliffe Hall as Managing Director, achieving 5 red stars, VisitEngland’s Large Hotel of the Year in 2011, numerous spa accolades and building a team of over 300 employees.
He now works as a retained advisor for a number of independent destinations, specialising in spa and resort development. Recent projects include a £16m expansion at Ramside Hall in Durham and a new £8m spa and brasserie investment at Swinton Park in North Yorkshire. He is also actively involved within a number of hospitality industry organisations including the Master Innholders and is recent former chair of the BHA northern region.
