SALSA is running a series of Food Labelling Workshops to guide small producers through the new Food Information Regulation (FIR) introduced into all EU states to ensure the information about 'what's in our food' was better communicated to the consumer. The course is primarily aimed at those who wish to know how to produce or check their own labels for their own businesses.
The one-day interactive workshops will be held at different venues across the UK between April and November. They are designed to provide participants with the knowledge and skills to develop, check and authorise their own food labels compliant with the new FIR. Participants are encouraged to bring their own labels and product information for discussion and feedback to ensure the course is highly relevant to the participants.
